The Islamic Society (ISoc) welcomes all students.

Moving away from home? Excited? Scared?

No doubt this will be a difficult time for you, being in a strange place, full of strange people. There may be times when you find things too hard to handle.

The Islamic Society would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the University of Central Lancashire.

The Society is committed to helping all regardless of background or nationality. We are here to advise, help and reassure all students to make your journey as smooth as possible.

We are here to help you in all matters, be they religious or non-religious, such as accommodation, mosques, halal food, or even to point you towards the right direction, to where you could get the appropriate specialised advice.

Insha Allah (If Allah wills) we hope that our help for you is of great value throughout the duration of your study and even after your graduation. May Allah make all pathways easy for you and help you in all difficult situations. Amen.

Salah Times

The Jama'at for Jumu'ah Salah and other Salah takes place at the University in the Multi Faith Centre for Males and Females.

Timetable as follows.

Summer period - when clocks go forward one hour:

Zuhr Jama'at: 1.30pm in the Multi-Faith Centre.

First Jumu'ah: 1.30pm in the Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre.

Second Jumu'ah: 2.30pm in the Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre.

Winter period - when clocks go back one hour:

Zuhr Jama'at:  12.40pm in the Multi-Faith Centre.

First Jumu'ah:  12.40pm in the Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre.

Second Jumu'ah:  1.30pm in the Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre.

The University has employed a ‘Muslim Chaplain’ (Imam) who is available throughout term time and can also be contacted any time of the day.
